My name is Matthias Peter (yes, Peter is the family name). I was born in december 1959 in Berne, Switzerland. My interest for electronics and radiocommunications started at the age of 14 and determined also my later education as a diploma engineer in telecommunications and electronics. In 1983 I obtained my amateur radio license as HB9CSP. This license got it's "sister" as LA0FA when I moved to Norway in 1985.
EPFL - Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne (ETH Lausanne, the Swiss Technology Institute) where I had the pleasure to obtain my education.

I am member of LA DX Group. I have developed their website and I am acting as webmaster and editor.
This is one of my web-projects. NRRL Cup is an annual competition which startet the first time in 2012. I have developped the site where Norwegian NRRL-member radio amateurs can register by selv-service their log-files.
I am a member of LA9L. This is a regional group of NRRL in the geographical region where I live. I have developped their website and I am acting as webmaster and editor.
This is, I think, one of the beautiful sights of Switzerland. The bernese Oberland with the new years view 31.12.2011 on the 3 famous home mountains Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. The swiss artist Gery Hofstetter enlighted the Jungfrau with the Swiss flag that night.
Obviously, I am a member of NRRL - the national Norwegian association for Radio Amateurs. We can exchange the "old fashionned" paper QSL's through the bureau.
It goes without saying, I am supporting and adhering to the ideas and principles of DX Code of Conduct
Logbook of the World - thats the way I like to exchange confirmation of radio contacts!
